Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery)

Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery)

What is it?

Blepharoplasty corrects excess skin on the upper eyelids and bags under the lower eyelids, for a more rested look.

Who is it for?

It is intended for people bothered by heavy eyelids or bags, sometimes with functional discomfort.

How it is done

Consultation, eye examination if needed, procedure as a day case.

Anaesthesia

Usually local anaesthesia, sometimes with sedation.

Recovery

Swelling and bruising for about ten days; sun protection and local care.

The result

The eyes look refreshed; the result is generally long-lasting.

Risks

Like any procedure, this one carries risks that are rare but real (infection, haematoma, healing problems, asymmetry, reaction to anaesthesia...). They are explained in detail during the consultation, with written information.

The information on this website is general and does not replace a medical consultation. Every surgical or medical procedure carries risks. For cosmetic surgery, French law requires a reflection period of at least 15 days between the detailed quote and the procedure.

They are hidden in the upper eyelid crease or just below the lashes.

How long between the consultation and the procedure?

For cosmetic surgery, French law requires a reflection period of at least 15 days after the detailed quote is given.

Where does the procedure take place?

The consultation takes place at the practice, 11 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, 75008 Paris. Surgical procedures are performed in an authorised facility.

I live abroad: how should I organise my trip?
