Buttock surgery

Buttock surgery

What is it?

Cosmetic buttock surgery can increase volume or improve shape, most often by lipofilling (fat transfer), sometimes combined with liposuction of nearby areas.

Who is it for?

It is intended for people who want to change the shape or volume of their buttocks, with enough fat reserve for lipofilling.

How it is done

Consultation, procedure as a day case or with one night in hospital.

Anaesthesia

Usually general anaesthesia.

Recovery

It is advisable to avoid prolonged sitting on the buttocks for a few weeks.

The result

Part of the injected fat is absorbed; the result can be assessed after a few months.

Risks

Like any procedure, this one carries risks that are rare but real (infection, haematoma, healing problems, asymmetry, reaction to anaesthesia...). They are explained in detail during the consultation, with written information.

The information on this website is general and does not replace a medical consultation. Every surgical or medical procedure carries risks. For cosmetic surgery, French law requires a reflection period of at least 15 days between the detailed quote and the procedure.

Frequently asked questions

Is the result permanent?

The fat that has taken is long-lasting, but it follows weight changes.

How long between the consultation and the procedure?

For cosmetic surgery, French law requires a reflection period of at least 15 days after the detailed quote is given.

Where does the procedure take place?

The consultation takes place at the practice, 11 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, 75008 Paris. Surgical procedures are performed in an authorised facility.

I live abroad: how should I organise my trip?

Contact the practice by phone or e-mail. A first consultation in Paris is required; then plan for the 15-day reflection period and stay long enough after the procedure for the first follow-up visits.
